Alopecia

Alopecia is a word used to describe any type or hair loss / baldness. There are three different types of Alopecia that can affect a person. There is Alopecia areata (AA) that affects about 4.6 million people in the United States alone. Alopecia areata is classified as a patchy hair loss on the scalp. Alopecia that affects the entire body it is called Alopecia Universalis (AU). When the whole head is affected by Alopecia it is called Alopecia totalis (AT). Alopecia does not discriminate against age, sex, or race. There is a lot of research involving this topic but there is really no cure. Some try pills, shots, or a topical that is applied to the scalp and see results but others it’s not that simple. A great way to get around this is to wear a wig. Wigs have greatly improved from what they were in the past time and today many wigs look and act just like your own hair. Morina by Beverly Johnson is a great wig that looks natural, is cost effective, and is comfortable.

Adelle from Wig Pro is another great choice. This wig is made from human hair; which allows for many styling options.

These are just two of the large variety of quality wigs that are out on the market. To find the wig that is right for you please visit www.wigsonline.com and browse our large selection of gorgeous wigs!
